Simplicity Simplified

Would you go to a temple like a common man when you are big celebrity? The answer for most of us would be NO. But not for this man, the one and only-Sachin Tendulkar.

Some people have always told me that I go overboard when I write about Sachin. They say I always write about his greatness and I am not at all able accept that he should retire from the game. And to that I answer in question- Why I shouldn’t? He is my hero and being a citizen of a country where there is freedom of speech, I have every right to praise my hero. Perhaps, my eyes cannot see any fault in him. And I admire him not only because he is a great cricketer but also because he is a great human being with phenomenal values. He can teach us lessons in integrity, honesty, humbleness and most of them simplicity! Having assets of worth crores of rupees, one might go out of head. But this guy, despite possessing all the materialistic things that money could buy, is very much down to earth.

I was browsing through the news channels today and stopped at Aaj Tak-the sabse tez news channel as they were running a show on Sachin’s devotion towards God. There they showed that how the little master was standing among the common people while attending the 5am aarti at the Siddhivinayak Temple post his much awaited 100th ton. They also emphasized that he never attends the temple as a VIP but as a common man!

Contrary to this I have also seen people who on getting a bit of something go out of their head and keep on boasting it. Probably they have a thing or two to learn from his man.

Hats off to you Sachin for inspiring me one way or the other again and again!

God Bless!
Cheers!
Adi
